Tilaï ("The Law"), Idrissa Ouedraogo, 1990
Tilaï won the Jury Grand Prize at the 1990 Cannes Film Festival and the Grand Prize at the 1991 Panafrican Film and Television Festival.
“In the World through which I travel, I am endlessly creating myself.”
Frantz Fanon, The Wretched of the Earth
“When we revolt it’s not for a particular culture. We revolt simply because, for many reasons, we can no longer breathe”
Frantz Fanon, The Wretched of the Earth
“The Negro enslaved by his inferiority, the white man enslaved by his superiority alike behave in accordance with a neurotic orientation.”
Frantz Fanon, Black Skin, White Masks
"The oppressed will always believe the worst about themselves."
Frantz Fanon, The Wretched of the Earth
Frantz Omar Fanon (20 July 1925 – 6 December 1961) was a Martinican psychiatrist and philosopher.
