Winter Sleep is loosely adapted from Chekhov's "The Wife".


I have seen all the movies of Nuri Bilge Ceylan, with the exception of the last one The Wild Pear Tree, Ahlat Ağacı (2018). Some months ago i saw the first one, a short called Cocoon (Koza), about his father and mother and is amazing. He is also an excellent photographer and it is easy to notice it in his movies. As usual, for me it is important to speak about the cinematography and Gökhan Tiryaki is a very good and important cinematographer.
